20 Valentines later...

Last Sunday was Valentines Day, but more importantly, my birthday. I'm no longer a teenager as year 20 has crept up on me. It's all down hill from here!

I don't have many friends to go out dry drinking with, especially as most of them were spending the evening with their partners. And so I decided to go home and see my family as they always make me happy. We had a Chinese takeaway as soon as I got home on the Saturday night which was amazing!

Then on my birthday my dad and stepmum took me, my sister and brother for a three course meal at a local restaurant. It was lovely and quaint with large open windows facing out to a beautiful garden and the sun was shining.

I didn't manager to take very many pictures as I was getting funny looks just for taking the small number that I did - sorry!

I had the soup of the day for starter and I can't think for the life of me what it was! But it was beautiful. It was thick and creamy and probably one of the best soups I've ever had.

For the main course I went for the roast beef because it would be rude not to on a Sunday! It was much like a carvery in that you chose how much you wanted but rather than have to go up and carry you plate back and risk falling on your face (just me?), it was all put on the table in front of you.

Finally was dessert and I simply had to have the cheesecake because, well...cheesecake. And as we'd be friendly with the staff, they knew it was my birthday and decided to embarrass me by getting the entire restaurant to sing happy birthday. It was super cute!

All in all, it was the perfect birthday for me. Family, sunshine, great food and a lovely restaurant. What more do I need now I've reached the ripe old age of 20?
